In early July, Estonian city of Pärnu hosted the European crossbow shooting championship. The competition was attended by 96 athletes from 13 European countries. The Russian team included Yakov Avdeev, a 3rd year student of the Electric Power Faculty of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
At the competition Yakov had to make 30 shots from 3 different distances and score the highest total amount of points. Our student coped with this task brilliantly and won a bronze medal in the individual and team competition, as well as the right to participate in international competitions – the world Cup in Croatia .
In addition, Yakov Avdeev took part in the Championship of Russia in crossbow shooting, which took place in the city of Ulyanovsk, and won first place in the individual competition.
