The university paid a tribute to the memory of veterans

 The delegation of the Stavropol state agrarian university which included more than one and a half thousand people, headed by the rector, the corresponding member of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev took part in the city actions dated for celebration of the Victory Day of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

In the morning on May 9 the best students, activists of university, teachers and staff gathered on a main square of the city where a mass solemn meeting took place.

Later the university delegation together with participants of meeting assigned flowers to a memorial "The Fire of Eternal Glory" on the Fort mountain, having honored memory of all those who was lost on the battlefields of the World War II and in glory of the heroes who have won a victory.
