On April 30, 2014 at Stavropol State Agrarian University the closing ceremony of the V Summer Universiade among the universities of Russian Agriculture Ministry on powerlifting passed. About 200 athletes from 20 universities from Russia took part in it.
Closing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Stavropol region on Physical Culture and Sports Vladimir Yanushkin , Deputy Agriculture Minister of Stavropol Territory Sergei Ridny, as well as famous athletes from Agrarian University: silver winner of world championship in weightlifting David Bejanyan and champion on Russian weightlifting Andrey Pavlenko .
By the end of the Universiade the team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took the second place in the team results.
