Official information 
Students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the All-Russian competition of student research papers on the problems of financial security. The competition for students engaged in project or research activities was held on the basis of the Orel State Agrarian University named after N. V. Parakhin. Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by students and undergraduates of the Accounting and Finance Faculty.
There was held a traditional concert dedicated to the Defender's Day in the assembly hall of SSAU .
- Dear men of Agrarian university! On behalf of the female half of the faculty and staff of the University accept our deep and warm congratulations on the Defender's Day! - These words were greeted to the audience by the Vice-rector of extended education, associate professor O.M. Lisova.
- This is a celebration of those who is responsible for the present and create a foundation for the future, whom we call real men. The life of the modern world is changing rather quickly, but there are values that retain the original high importance. These are the love for their land, the faithful to civil and military duty, the respect for the Fatherland’s history and patriotism. No matter how the times have change, each of you, dear men, is responsible for: your family, for your staff, for your country.
Let me to wish you good health, courage and self-belief on the Defender's Day. May your mind, strength, courage are successfully realized in the work, science and art!
The creative program of festive evening was opened by Academic Folk Choir of teachers and employees of the university by the honored artist of Russia Valery Korotkov. The choir sounded well-known song "Ballad of a Soldier", "A young sailor goes to visit," and others. The choir was accompanied by dance compositions prepared by students of the university.
The concert included a bright, original shows of amateur creative collectives of the university: the circus studio, the show-ballet "Dance Stuff" vocal groups "Joyce" and "Provence", holders of the title “Golden Voice of Agricultural University” Svetlana Sevastianova and other performers.
Rector of SSAU V.I. Trukhachev declared a minute of silence in memory hero of the Soviet Union’s hero, an honorary citizen of Stavropol region I.A. Shchipakin, on the eve deceased. "People like Ivan Shchipakin is our eternal moral guide, - the rector said. - Today, I want first of all to congratulate the veterans, their feat worthy of the deepest respect and admiration. " Next V.I. Trukhachev congratulated the staff of the University with the Defender's Day and thanked the talented, extraordinary, brilliant artists of the submitted work.
- We can not rest on our laurels. Wide tread we go to the new goals and new frontiers, - said Vladimir Ivanovich at the end of the festive event.
Traditionally, children volunteers solemnly laid flowers to the monument "Eternal glory to the students, faculty and staff members of Stavropol Agricultural Institute, who fell in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."

On February 18, 2014 within the I Patriotic forum of Stavropol Krai handing of a silver medal for victory in the All-Russian competition "Patriot of Russia" took place. Stavropol State Agrarian University is awarded for a set of materials "Higher Education Institution Museum as Center of Patriotic Education for Students". It was developed by the Head of Pedagogics, psychology and sociology chair, professor S. I. Tarasova, the Associate Professor of pedagogics, psychology and sociology E. V. Taranova, the senior teacher of Pedagogics, psychology and L. sociology chair L.V.Annikova, the teacher of Pedagogics, psychology and sociology chair T. V. Kolesnikova, E. V. Volobuyeva.
Also within the forum winners of a review competition in activity programs of military- patriotic, military and sports, search, historical clubs, and also the clubs giving in the territory of Stavropol Krai social help to veterans of the Great Patriotic War were defined. In the nomination "The Best Patriotic Student's Association" the victory was gained to the Patriot club operating at the museum stories of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The letter of thanks from the Minister of Education and youth policy of Stavropol Krai V. V. Lyamina for the organization of the effective educational system providing optimum conditions to the development youth fidelity to the Fatherland, big personal contribution to patriotic education of student's youth, fruitful on revival of spirituality and culture of Stavropol Territory is handed over to the Head of club, Professor of History and philosophy chair S. B. Kalinchenko.
The student's group of Agronomy and plant protection faculties "Zabota" visited on November 21, 2013 two orphanages: Special (correctional) boarding school №. 14 VIII type, village Konstantinovskoe, Petrovsky region and Special (correctional) general educational boarding school № 4 VIII type, s. Basoviy, Grachevsky region.
Students congratulated with birthday 73 pupils. They arranged the real holiday with entertainments, dances, music performances. The gift was given to each birthday man.
On November 20, 2013 on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University the first master class for participants of competition «Streets are called by their names... " passed.
The children had an opportunity to meet Olga Zainchenko − the teacher with a long-term experience and the author of the book "To Know and to Remember". At a meeting participants listened to fascinating lecture about heroes of Stavropol whose names the city streets were called.
The Head of competition, the student of Registration and financial faculty Ekaterina Voytysheva the main goal of carrying out this action is the desire to impart youth love to history of the hometown and to tell everybody about people, about memorable places and events of Stavropol.
More than 50 people participate in competition − they are representatives of different higher education institutions and city schools. Creation of videos about heroes will be a result of this competition.
The second master class under the name "Creative Thinking" will pass on November 21. It will be carried out by the vice-chairman of trade-union committee of students at SSAU, the art director of forum "MASHUK-2012" Julia Voitova.
From November 18 to November 22, 2013 "Week of Socio-cultural service and tourism faculty" passes in scientific library.
The purpose of this action is to acquaint students and teachers of faculty with traditional and electronic resources of scientific library on tourism and service activity, to give consulting support during the work with the Russian and international data bases.
For students and teachers of faculty the exhibition of new literature, an exhibition of educational and methodical literature for the last five years, additional literature and periodicals in the service and tourism directions are prepared. The great interest is represented by the illustrated albums on known tourist routes of the North Caucasus, Russia and the world. The rare editions on tourism were found in the fund of scientific library. Library workers prepared a selection of electronic editions from electronic and library systems, the Russian and international magazines with a high impact-factor. And on a site of scientific library the virtual exhibition of new editions − "Tourism 2013" is exhibited.
On April 10, 2013 the rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, corresponding member of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev visited the Bosch Bamberg company (Germany, Bamberg) within the event "The best practices" hold by the European Fund of Quality Management (EFQM).
